Mr. Gurdjieff said throughout the course of his life: we are not awake. Even when we hear that we are not awake, and think we are thus somehow more awake, we are not actually awake.

i was 3 years in 4 way school of Gurdjieff.
They have good practice, and techniques.
I read Osho books, In one he said, that Gurdjieff said; Person must try to be awake in dream!
Try to practice: when U put your finger on your forehead in dream , Awake ! Know that u are dreaming!
G. said if u can't be awake in dream u will be never awake.
