I have no problem with the article, and the 'solutions' are fine, except that she recommends things like 'liver cleanses' and 'candling', procedures that can be dangerous. So I'd go with the energy work and astral work, but not the pseudomedical techniques.

I'm aware of ear candling being problematic, though I wasn't sure about the liver clense. I thought that would be fine, as long is it was just a one of short term thing. Well being skeptically inclined I would probably make may self aware of the arguments against it before going ahead with it. There's a lot of weird health exagerations like this. Don't yet have the confidence to call it pseudomedical though. Reminds me of the registry clean debate (sorry to go on a tangent). Some people practically call it pseudoscience, though some experienced people say it can work when used properly.
Though it makes sense that physical health would have an affect on spiritual health. I guess the lesson here is not to do all those weird health techniques, but to just make sure you're also physicallly healthy, something which I'm trying to sort out now.
So I found another website. Seems fairly simple and not a butt candle in sight ( ). I haven't read it all yet, but I think it would just clarify the above technique more.

Some liver cleanses have toxic things in them, and some use enemas which I find to be in the 'not good' category.
About the only thing I would recommend as a 'liver' cleanse is Milk Thistle, because it has no known toxicity or side effects- but to each his own. This is my opinion anyway.

The last thing I read about liver cleanse I don't think it mentioned any dodgy substances. I guess it may have been a different method. Not to go off topic, but what is it you don't like about enemas (sounds like a stupid question there, lol)? I never considered they could do much harm, though highly unnatural, which is funny as those kind of people seem to be the "nature is best" type.
You answered the question for me. . I wasn't talking about his specific liver cleanse, I was talking about 'liver cleanses' in general.

what's the problem with ear candles??
i've used them a couple of times in the past year or two.. not for implants or anything like that, just to clear wax out, getting earplugs fitted..

Yoga provides a lot of techniques for cleansing, but most of them are not for use at home. It is important to have proper guidance with some things. Alternate nostril breathing, sinus irrigations with saline, and trataka (involving focussing the eyes and letting the tear ducts flow) are okay to do on your own in moderation and with decent instruction.
For implants, though, you can ask your Higher Self to remove them and to cancel any agreements that may have allowed them to be placed to begin with. Then ask for any empty places to be filled with positive energy. Yes, you may have to ask repeatedly.
I can look for the link later, but candling has hurt some people, and the schmutz that you get at the end has been tested and it didn't turn out to be the earwax- it turned out to be what the candle was made up of, burned. For now, I have to go.Originally Posted by Neil Templar
