Just found this thread, and yes, I'm a cat lover. Why is that so rare in men?

Talking cats? I was recently adopted by a black cat. I think it's true that certain colors/markings of cats bear on their personality and frankly I was a little surprised when Spade started talking to me. I've had a few black cats and they didn't have much to say, very quiet. He had been staying in a bedroom where I'd made him a place to sleep but I thought he was just another feral cat that I could feed and look at, but that was it. Until one afternoon I caught him napping and managed to get a short 'pet' in before he ran off.

The next time I saw him he was all about telling me about his dilemma - if you want to stay alive in the feral world, stay away from people, but he was thinking maybe he could trust just this one. His vocalizations were more than just meow, meow - all kinds of sounds. Anyway, he's a good buddy now.

It is so true that the cats' colors and markings add to their character! I had a cat named Cosmo Kramer and he was such a crazy cat! What a personality! I was telling someone about him and they said cats with that type of coloring had similar personalities, so I think next time I get a cat I will have to try and find one with the same kind of color!

So black cats are talkers? I will have to remember that! They are so beautiful too! I heard that hairless cats have great personalities as well, they are sweethearts.

Oh, I still can't seem to figure out how to post a pic...I saved one to my computer though. I guess I'm not very computer savy!
