Hmm, I was quite surprised by the beauty in the film. I also felt a little bit of longing towards the lush and vibrant world of Pandora, but then I realised the Na'vi jungle doesn't have toilet paper and I got over it. >_>
I really loved this movie, i saw it 3 times, twice in imax 3d.
The imax theater makes it that much better and the graphics and action was a blast.
The 3d technology is so much better too i looked around in the audiance and people would reach out towards leaves or petals falling during the film, it did feel like you could reach out and grab the scene.
The story was a little depressing, i think the 3d technology made it all that more convincing and immersive too.

You haveeyes each composed of 130 million photoreceptor cells. In each of those cells there’s 100 trillion atoms that’s more than all the stars in the Milky way galaxy. However each atom in each cell in each eye formed in the core of a star billions of years ago and yet here they are today being utilized to capture the energy released from that same process all to expand the consciousness of you. It's ironic in that you are the universe experiencing itself And all you are is a thought.

So there.
I merged both 'Avatar' topics for obvious reasons.

I've seen it five times - a great movie. I even watched it in Spanish while traveling to see the effects all over again.
Maybe that's why you're here- to reconcile both truths into one.
I think there is an unconscious knowledge (because the word awareness doesn't seem right) that we are having two experiences at the same time, movies and books such as these are expressed- like the matrix, and others (the prisoner, and countless others). We know, but we don't know.
