Would it be possible to connect with people who are comas and try to lead them back to their physical bodies? I am sure i have in one of my travels spent time in the company of one of these persons and assisted him back.

This could be possible, yes.
It would be well worth exploring.
I also recommend healing and affirmations. Affirmations can be spoken for a person 'John is awake and healthy'. And affirmations and uplifting music could be played 24/7 for the patient, using headphones or etc.
