Volgerle, I read your post with great interest. For me, the most telling part is that you asked your Higher Self what was your purpose in life. I can't speak for others, but when I did that I got the answer quite rapidly. So IMHO (and I am very hesitant of offering an opinion to a Very Senior Member!) you are being told that you should devote your life to helping animals: if not through your work, then at least in a voluntary capacity. Wild animals are particularly in need of protection. Perhaps it is worth going back to your HS and asking for clarification? I can't say how much this thread interests me.
