Even though this is a very old post I wanted to reply and see if anyone has any further information on this. I've been seeing behind closed eyes very similar to what CunoDante posted. It seems to respond to energy work and meditation, but can really show up any time for me. I woke up this morning and had behind my closed eyes my typical static field type view, that kind of black with small white mixed in. I did a couple of energy bounces and I noticed that view changed density. It's like it compressed. Still black with white but much more solid and dense? I then started getting the electric blue colors, these I've had all my life so they are normal to me. I don't know if everyone has these all the time or not. They start barely noticeable from the outsides in a ring and as the ring approaches the center they get more solid. Not like a solid and defined circle but more like energy that is moving around in a circular form. Sometimes when I see this it gets to the center and then just dissipates as a new circle begins again. This time it would get to the center and it was drawing off into the distance, like if you watched it go down a tunnel that was in front of you. If I try to focus on it too hard, I find I'm using my physical eyes and it all goes away until I stop trying to focus. What was different this time from any other time I've seen the electric blue is at some point it stopped being the structured from the outside in pattern and just started appearing and fading near the center, and at the same time it started being a rich orange/red color. I've never seen any different color before. I do sometimes get brow throbs when this is happening but not all the time. I can't seem to control this or change colors or patterns or anything, just watch it. I can't tell that it is doing anything for me, so no visions or insights or projections and such. No feelings of being drawn away or into some other state. Since I kind of get it to respond in ways by doing energy work and meditation, I have to think it is related to something energy based. For the advanced who've progressed in energy work or have psychic skills, does any of this sound familiar? I'm trying to figure out how to interact in a non physical way but have not had much progress. I don't know if this is just a side effect of energy and meditation that doesn't have any real value or if it is something to be developed for some reason. I guess in the absence of answers I'll do what others have done and just use my best discernment and intuition and see where it takes me. I tried for about 6 months every night to OBE using the techniques discussed in the books, but never was able to OBE. I'd get close, I could feel myself moving up but it would never actually complete. I've sense moved on to try to lucid dream to see if I could use that as a platform to learn and experiment and possibly get an OBE. I've had very limited success there as well (only one LD that lasted but minutes), but am only two months into that training. Just trying to understand and make sense of what I see and experience while continuing to search for ways to expand and overcome limitations.
