Personality either works with the spirit*, or it does not. The former is called conscious cosmic alchemy. The latter is called unconscious unholy death.
What I mean by this is the equation:
time for personality > time for spirit => the latter (minus infinity)
time for spirit > time for personality => the former (plus infinity)
believe in none => the value approaches to zero
Animals like cats are very spiritual. They tend to sleep a lot.
Humans like homo sapiens are very unholy. They not just sleep less than 8 hours a day, but they tend even to cut this time for sleeping!
How the spirit could be preserved then?
Humans believe in this: day has 24 hours, week has 7 days. Amount of time they use for themselves is their win; the rest is "wasted" for sleeping.
Cats know this, on the other hand: life = f(hours for sleeping). lim(life) = infinity => the more sleep the longer life the more spirit. (it translates to: "how the heck humans consider themselves smart while obviously they aren'tthey need to learn math again, this time properly!).**
Some say that Buddha was a cat. The mathematical evidence can be found in the cave where he slept for weeks: life = f(weeks of sleeping).
Some even say that Taoists also could be cats. Mathematical evidence probably goes like this: immortality = f(centuries of sleeping), lim(immortality) = none (the void).***
* you may remove anything in-between, it is up to you and your free will; spirit is responsible for quality, mental part of mind manages quantity
** These are not cats who invented "hour" and "week" concepts; in fact, cats still wonder why do humans need "weeks" - this is an obvious slavery concept (it weekens their minds), while cats tend to value their freedom
*** it is not possible to denote limit for this function, as there are countless dimensions to explain this, while what we learnt is mainly 2D math

they need to learn math again, this time properly!).**
