Flamel?
'Ello Mr. Bruce,
I am a Philosophy major at SUNY Oswego in New York. You have been a great inspiration for me over the last 7 years or so.
Could you tell me your thoughts on the concepts and principals one can dissern from the story of Nicholas Flamel, an alchemist. From reading up on him, I came to the conclusion alchemy is the pinnacle of philosophy, not in the lead to gold, but in that it paves the way for a true epistimologist.
Thank you for everything Mr. Bruce, I already consider my life changed.
With great respect,
Jerry Winant

Re: Flamel?
G'day Jerry,
thank you for your kind words. I am pleased to be of service.
I agree with you.
Thoughts for you....
What is gold?
the philosopher's stone is not a physical thing, but it can be a physical thing.
Alchemy is a metaphorical 'craft' that leads to the discovery of spiritual principles.
the path eventually turns within.
And the goal becomes realization
For if one achieves true realization and enlightenment, through a staggered process of realization, one becomes the philosopher's stone.
and you then understand that you are that which you seek.
