No, unfortunately. However there are indirect routes to Zen. Karate is the prime example, however any old hack will do - even false prophecy can bring it on.

My view is that love without consciousness is "monkey love". Consciousness adds new levels to how you deal with a loved one - i.e. higher good, higher love.

True, the line crossed when one moves upward from animal to divine. Interesting, the divine love has a name and a mind of its own, alone. Animal/monkey love... some sort of breeding program.
